Maintenance and Safety Instructions to Shuttering Magnets

As the prefabricated construction developed prosperously, also promoted by the authorities and builder vigorously across the world, the critical problem is how to make molding and de-molding flexibly & efficiently, for realizing the industrialized, intelligent and standardized production.

Shuttering Magnets are generated and applied appropriately, playing a new role in the precast concrete components production,by instead of traditional bolting and welding on the platform. It features small size, strong supporting forces, corrosion resistance and durability. It simplifies the installation and demolding of the side mold for precast concrete elements production. Due to the characteristics of sintered neodymium magnets, it should be alerted to make notices of operation instructions for safety and reasonable maintenance for durable use.  So we would like to share six tips to magnets maintenance and safety instructions for precaster.

Magnet_AlertSix Tips to Magnets Maintenance and Safety Instructions

1. Working temperature

As the normal integrated magnet is N-grade of NdFeB magnet with maximum working temperature 80℃, it should be applied in room temperature, while using standard box magnet in the precast elements production. If special working temperature required, please inform us in advance. We are capable of producing the magnets in higher demands ranging from 80℃ to 150℃ and more.

2. No hamming and falling

It is forbidden to use a hard object such as a hammer to hit the box magnet body, or free fall to the steel surface from a high place, otherwise it may cause deformation of the magnetic box shell, lock the buttons, or even damage the emerged magnets. As a result, the magnetic block will be dislocated and cannot work well. When attaching or retrieving, workers should follow the instructions with using a professional release bar to release the button. When necessary to use tools to strike, it is highly recommended to use a wooden or rubber hammer.

3. No disassembly unless necessary

The fastening nut inside of the button can’t be loosen, only necessary for repairing. It must be tightly screwed up, so as to avoid the screw being pushed out and forcing the magnet to not be in full contact with the steel table. It will greatly reduce the holding force of the magnetic box, causing mold sliding and moving to produce wrong dimension precast elements.

4. Precautions of strong magnetic force

Due to the super powerful magnetic force of magnet, it’s essential to pay attention on it while activating the magnet. It should be avoided to be close to precision instruments, electronic instruments and other devices that are easily affected by magnetic force. Hands or arms are forbidden to put into the gap of magnet and steel plate.

5. Inspection on cleanliness

The appearance of the magnet and steel mold on which the magnetic box is placed should be flat, cleaned up as far as possible before box magnets working, and no concrete residue or detris remained.

6. Maintenance

After magnet works done, it should be taken away and stored regularly for further maintenance, like cleaning up, anti-rusty lubricating to keep a durable performance in the next round of use.
